HIMSS18 Conference and Exhibition
The 2018 conference will take place in Las Vegas on March 5 through March 9. There will be keynote speakers around the executive aspect of the job as health care administrator. The first speaker will be Eric Schmidt who is the executive chairman of Alphabet Inc, the company that owns Google. The other speaker is Earvin “Magic” Johnson who went from being an incredible athlete to a successful entrepreneur. There will be topics like privacy and cybersecurity, data analytics and health information exchange and interoperability. These are all subjects that a healthcare admin will need to oversee their facility.

HCAA’s 2018 Executive Forum
This conference is for members of the HCAA, or Health Care Administrators Association, which is a valuable association for administrators. The conference will be held in February in Las Vegas as it is every year. It’ll occur February 5 through February 7. The keynote speaker is an executive coach named Dr. Elizabeth Fried. There will be an Emerging Leaders Academy for attendees as well as a special lunch for attendees to network with peers.
NRHA Health Equity Conference
This Health Equity Conference will be held on May 8, 2018 in New Orleans. It’s one of the only conferences in the U.S. to focus directly on the issues of health equity in rural areas of the country. There will be speeches and keynote addresses from notable leaders in the community, as well as opportunities to have conversations regarding the policies and current insights and issues regarding underserved communities in rural environments.
Cummings Institute Conference
The 5 Cs of Integrated Healthcare (Care, Collaboration, Cost, Community and Culture) is the focus of the March 8 through March 12 conference in Phoenix, AZ. There will be panel discussions, presentations and workshops on each of the topics listed. The attendees will vary between educators, students, administrators and leaders. There will be speakers covering topics like Addiction Management and Care in the Workplace as well as The Importance of Collaborating within Your Community, which is a topic on the Executive Track of the conference.
International Conference on Health Policy Statistics
The ICHPS happens annually and has for over 20 years. It’s organized by the American Statistical Association’s Health Policy Statistics Section. The aim of the organization is to create channels between practitioners and policy analysts to exchange ideas and disseminate policies to the health community. The theme for the 2018 conference is Health, Statistical Science, Care, Policy and Outcomes. It’ll take place January 10 through January 12 in Charleston, SC.
